Meet Dion
Dionysios “Dion” Kaskarelis is a Melrose resident, husband and father, finance professional, and business owner. He came to the United States as an immigrant and became a U.S. citizen on July 31, 2025.
Dion and his family made Melrose their home in 2023. He currently serves on the Melrose Human Rights Commission and remains actively involved in local civic life.

My Story
I came to the United States as an immigrant and made Massachusetts my home. My family and I moved to Melrose in 2023 while looking for a community with strong schools, good public services, and a real sense of neighborhood.
My background has taken me across different countries, institutions, and communities. Those experiences shaped how I think about public service: listen carefully, understand the numbers, treat people fairly, and focus on practical solutions.
